With a few exceptions, Desert Rose Creations jewelry needs very little special care.

Because Bali silver has fewer alloys than sterling silver it tarnishes less. However, from time to time you will need to polish the silver beads incorporated into your jewelry. Use either regular silver polish or a silver polishing cloth. Be sure to throughly rinse your jewelry afterwards to remove all the silver polish, I sometimes use a toothbrush to help remove excess polish from between gemstones.

All jewelry can be damaged when exposed to household chemicals such as bleach and amonia. Protect your jewelry by removing it before washing dishes or using such cleansers.

Pearls: The oils from your skin can damage the luster of pearls. After each wearing, simply wipe pearls with a soft cotton cloth.

Turquoise: The oils from your skin enhance turquoise. Silver polish can remove these oils, and make your turquoise jewelry less colorful. Rub a little "nose oil" into you turquoise to restore its finish.
