I have always loved jewelry, the more the better! Desert Rose Creations began in the winter of 2003. At the time I was selling costume jewelry for a "party plan" company without much succes. Their prices seemed too high for "fashion" jewelry. I knew that I could make quality beaded jewelry with genuine gemstones, sterling silver and gold-filled accents, giving customers a better value for their dollar.

So began my quest for gemstone beads and findings. I began purchasing my supplies from Desert Gems and selling my jewelry creations at the Grizzly Rose, hence came the name Desert Rose Creations. Originally inspired by a South Western desert theme, I've grown to include whatever inspires me, pearls, glass and amber to name a few favorites.

My workspace is constantly expanding to accomodate the millions of beads I've accumulated over the years. With such a large bead inventory, I'm able to fulfill custom orders, as the most of the required beads and gemstones are in stock.

With the ever increasing cost of sterling silver (trippled in price in 2008) I've started using pewter accent beads in my more recent pieces. Pewter, which is much less costly, looks almost like the Bali silver accents I've been using, and it won't tarnish!
